Bus
Service 6 (baycar) provides the most direct route between the Bay and city centre. It runs from St Mary Street (Wyndham Arcade bus stop) to the stop outside the Wales Millennium Centre via Lloyd George Avenue.
Services 1, 2, 5 and 8 also serve Cardiff Bay:
Services 1 and 2 stop at Mermaid Quay bus stops on New George Street, James Street and Adelaide Street.
Service 5 stops at the Wales Millennium Centre, Mermaid Quay and outside Techniquest, before travelling to the International Sports Village. Returning to the city centre, it stops at the Mermaid Quay bus stop opposite Tesco and Bute Street.
Service 8 stops at the Mermaid Quay bus stop – please note that this isn’t a direct route as it travels via Grangetown first.

Train
Transport For Wales runs a regular service between Cardiff Queen Street station in the city centre and Cardiff Bay station.
Car
To get to the Bay by car, follow signs for Cardiff Bay.
From outside of Cardiff you can reach the Bay from the M4 motorway.
If approaching from the west, leave the M4 at Junction 33 and follow the A4232.
From the east, leave the M4 at Junction 29 and take the 3rd exit off the A48.
